Our practice was established in 1998 and has been taking care of patients on Cape Cod for over 2 decades. We are proud to offer advanced primary care healthcare in a casual and personal atmosphere.
Zouhdi Hajjaj, M.D., graduated from Boston University School of Medicine after which he completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Texas Medical Branch. He joined Yarmouth Medical Center in 2001 to practice general internal medicine with a focus on primary care. In addition to his private practice, for the past two decades, Dr. Hajjaj has served as an attending physician and medical director at several nursing homes on Cape Cod.
He is a member of the New England Quality Care Alliance, a group of 2000 physicians practicing in eastern Massachusetts with close ties to Tufts Medical Center.
JonFranco Barretto is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician who completed his residency at St. Vincent Hospital and earned his medical degree from UMass Medical School. In addition to providing comprehensive primary care, he serves as a per diem Hospitalist at Lowell General Hospital and works as a Physician Advisor for Tufts Medicine. He is currently accepting new patients via telemedicine.
Dr. Barretto has a deep connection to the Cape, having spent summers in West Yarmouth since childhood. He loves spending time at the beach and enjoying all that the area has to offer.
Outside of medicine, he values quality time with family, playing and watching sports, and exploring new TV shows and movies.
Dr. Muhil Kannappan is dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care. She completed her medical education in India, earning her MBBS from Stanley Medical College, a respected public medical school. Afterward, she pursued her residency in Internal Medicine at UMass Memorial Medical School in Worcester, MA, where she developed a deep understanding of the importance of treating the whole person.
Having worked as a Hospitalist at Lowell General Hospital, she has had the privilege of caring for many patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Currently, she’s furthering her education with a fellowship in Contemplative Medicine, a field that focuses on re-humanizing the patient-care experience. This fellowship emphasizes bringing more tenderness, openness, and compassion to patient care—an approach she's truly passionate about.
Along with her medical expertise, she believes in the power of mindfulness and meditation to promote well-being. In her spare time, she enjoys watching Korean dramas. She looks forward to meeting you and learning the unique story behind each of her patients, as she truly believes in building meaningful relationships and understanding the human experience beyond just symptoms and diagnoses.

Karin Dauphinee graduated from the Simmons College Nurse Practitioner, MSN program with distinction in 1997. Before becoming a nurse practitioner, she was a certified nurse’s aide and a registered nurse. She has worked on the Cape since graduation in internal medicine, urgent care, orthopedic surgery, and occupational medicine. She also completed the Boston College Pediatric Nurse Practitioner specialty program in maternal-child health.
She is passionate about getting to know her patients and their concerns, finding personal satisfaction in serving as a medical provider, and following them and their families through the continuum of life. Her well-rounded experience assists with assessing and diagnosing their problems. She strongly believes in the importance of preventative care for her clients, investing a personal interest in helping them improve their health. This includes focusing on diet, exercise, sleep, and social activity before considering medication. While she finds AI (artificial intelligence) a helpful technology, she believes it’s important not to ignore the power of human touch.

Felix Rodriguez-Cano is an accomplished healthcare operations leader with over a decade of experience in medical practice management, surgical assisting, and business administration. As the Practice Manager at Yarmouth Medical Center, Felix is dedicated to optimizing daily operations, improving patient care, and driving financial growth through strategic planning and process improvements.
With an MBA from Harvard Business School and a background in healthcare administration, Felix has successfully led multi-specialty medical practices, overseeing everything from revenue cycle management to staff development. His expertise includes implementing key performance indicators (KPIs), negotiating contracts with major healthcare providers, and enhancing clinical efficiency through technology-driven solutions.
Prior to joining Yarmouth Medical Center, Felix held leadership roles at various healthcare organizations, including Bakersfield Angiography & Interventions and United Vein & Vascular Centers, where he managed single-million-dollar budgets, streamlined operational workflows, and improved patient outcomes. His hands-on approach, combined with his background as a Certified Surgical First Assistant, allows him to bridge the gap between clinical and administrative functions seamlessly.
