Karin Dauphinee graduated from the Simmons College Nurse Practitioner, MSN program with distinction in 1997. Before becoming a nurse practitioner, she was a certified nurse’s aide and a registered nurse. She has worked on the Cape since graduation in internal medicine, urgent care, orthopedic surgery, and occupational medicine. She also completed the Boston College Pediatric Nurse Practitioner specialty program in maternal-child health.
She is passionate about getting to know her patients and their concerns, finding personal satisfaction in serving as a medical provider, and following them and their families through the continuum of life. Her well-rounded experience assists with assessing and diagnosing their problems. She strongly believes in the importance of preventative care for her clients, investing a personal interest in helping them improve their health. This includes focusing on diet, exercise, sleep, and social activity before considering medication. While she finds AI (artificial intelligence) a helpful technology, she believes it’s important not to ignore the power of human touch.
